Cycling is an easy and low-impact activity which can significantly improve your fitness, combat poor health, and increase your confidence and overall sense of well-being.
Getting out and about on your bike is an excellent way of getting to know the local area, whether out on the Levels or up in the Blackdown, Quantock or Brendon Hills, but one of the main advantages of cycling is that you can also do it as part of your normal daily routine, such as cycling to work, to see friends, or to the shops, rather than having to find additional time for exercise.
As well as improving physical health, cycling has a positive effect on emotional and mental health, improving levels of well-being, self-confidence and tolerance to stress while reducing tiredness, difficulties with sleep and a range of medical symptoms.
In other words, get out there on your bike ... and enjoy it!
